I just can’t stop looking at this book. Absolutely amazing photographs. I get the feeling that the timing of each shot is so perfect that a photo taken one second earlier or later would not have produced the same result.
The name of the book “Portraits of the Soul “is just perfect. There are a number of shots that, for me really do look into the subject’s soul.
Cathy Freeman, Alice Cooper, Sigrid Thornton, Archie Roach and Jon English are some. The beggar woman and child in Bali.
But for me the standout picture is Gough Whitlam after the dismissal.
